She sits next to you
You’re on a bus
Your friends cheered
Cause you hit the jackpot

You’re Mr. Popular
Everybody knows who you are
And you act like
You don’t know who she is

To her relief, you smile
And say her name

“Why, why, why?”
You play to many mind games
“No, no, no!”
She finally learns the truth
It’s such a shame to know
You’re off the market

Are you flirting, boy?
Or just being nice?
Give her a sign
I think you know why

To her relief, you smile
And say her name

“Why, why, why?”
You play to many mind games
“No, no, no!”
She finally learns the truth
It’s such a shame to know
You’re off the market

Go ahead to your girlfriend
Maybe she’s the best
Stop bothering her around
But, come on
We know I don’t mean it

“Why, why, why?”
You play to many mind games
“No, no, no!”
She finally knows the truth
It’s such a shame to know
Boy, you’re off the market

“Why, why, why?”
Who’s the lucky girl?
“No, no, no!”
She finally learns the truth
It’s too bad she knows
Boy, you’re off the market

semalam kt TV2 bersiaran la filem WAR OF THE WORLD
filem ni dah lama dh, tahun2005
tahun ni baru tengok
tapi xpe la, janji dapat tengok

Cruise stars as Ray Ferrier, a divorced dockworker and less-than-perfect father. Soon after his ex-wife (Miranda Otto) and her new husband drop off his teenage son, Robbie (Justin Chatwin) and young daughter Rachel (Dakota Fanning) for a rare weekend visit, a strange and powerful lightning storm touches down.

Moments later, at an intersection near his house, Ray witness an extraordinary event that will change all their lives forever. A towering three-legged war machine emerges from deep beneath the earth and, before anyone can react, incinerates everything in sight. An ordinary day has suddenly become the most extraordinary event of their lifetimes - the first strike in a catastrophic alien attack on Earth.

Ray scrambles to get his children away from this merciless new enemy , embarking on a journey that will take them across the ravaged countryside, where they become caught in the desperate tide of refugees fleeing from an extraterrestrial army of Tripods.

But no matter where they run, there is no safety, no refuge ... only Ray's unconquerablewill to protect the one he loves.

Tom Cruise as Ray Ferrier

Dakota Fanning as Rachel Ferrier

Justin Chatwin as Robbie

Tim Robbins as Harlan Ogivly

Miranda Otto as Mary Ann

The tripod has a free moving head as depicted, the head fits into a slot on the main body section, where the neck extends giving a better view around the area. It has four metallic tentacles, with numerous joints making it look more machine-like, that are mainly used to grab humans during the film. The machine has long stilt-like legs which occasionally move with the right and rear leg moving forward at the same time. The Heat-Ray appears on the top of tripod head as a round mirror on a metallic arm, and when the mirror rotates at fast speed it begins to emit incredible heat with a range of over 2 miles. The black smoke is emitted from the tips of the tentacles of the Martian machine in the form of a spray instead of the cannon-like device firing shells used in the book version. The tripod also has a basket on the rear to place the captured humans in, but the basket looks more like a bucket.

The Heat-Ray is portrayed as a bluish-white arc instead of a ray that appear to have a desiccating effect on living objects, such as animals, and a 'disruptive' effect on other objects. For example, when humans are hit by the ray, they are vaporized into a cloud of gray powder (possibly ash), while their clothes remain unaffected.

The presence of the red weed on Earth is clearly intentional. Once they have a strong hold of the planet, the invaders take captured humans and drain their bodily fluids, which act as a nitrogenous fertilizer for the red weed, helping it grow and cover the planet. Though it is never stated that these invaders come from Mars (the "Red Planet"), the script indicates that the weed is abundantly present on their world as well, suggesting the two share a superficial resemblance. However, what exactly makes up their red weed, whether it is a natural vegetation or what gives it its color on their world, is unknown. It is also stated in the script that the weed is fierce enough to flourish in spite of the conditions that forced the aliens to find refuge on a new world. But despite its tenacity to survive such a harsh environment, much like in the novel, the red weed is killed by Earth's bacteria and turned into an ash-like dust and is blown away in the wind before it can be examined.

Director: Lev L. Spiro

Cast: Jason Dolley (Virgil Fox), Luke Benward (Charlie Tuttle), Nicholas Braun (Zeke Thompson), Chelsea Staub (Stephanie Jameson), Steven R. McQueen (Derek Beaugard), Kara Crane (Jeanette Pachelewski), Dexter Darden (Chester), J.P. Manoux (Vice Principal Stewart Tolkan), James Jamison (Agent Rehnquist), Jason Tatom (Dr. Winthorpe), Trenton James (Dr. Connors), Kellie Cockrell (Jocelyn Lee), Charlie Fratto (Eugene von Hoserberg), Joe Pitti (Robot Man), Damarr Jones (Mysterious Man), Terrence Goodman (Coach Nibley), Trevor Grant Snarr (Bureau of Weights and Measures Man), Molly Jepson (Amy Fox)

The three students hit upon the secret of time travel with an assortment of devices, including computers, a microwave, a slide projector, and a diving board. Boy genius Charlie (Luke Benward, How to Eat Fried Worms), ace experimenter and multiple grade skipper, is the brains of the operation. Tall, quiet, tough guy Zeke (Nicholas Braun, Sky High) provides some mechanical expertise. And, closest to a protagonist, Virgil (Jason Dolley, "Cory in the House") is the normal kid who through a single regrettable incident has spent high school as one of the dorks.
Virgil's first instinct is to use the discovery to bring the group riches and popularity. When that conveniently doesn't pan out, the boys find a new calling. Upon witnessing an act of bullying, they arrange to go back in time and help out their fellow outcast. Though Virgil comes up with "Minutemen", a name he thinks is quite clever, the team behind the ongoing, anonymous social work becomes known around school as the "Snowsuit Guys." Because, you see, they don remarkable white ski outfits since traveling through time is cold business.
Virgil, Charlie, and Zeke are quite good at righting the wrongs of pranks and shenanigans that apparently run quite rampant at Summerton High School. They're a hit with the student body. However, new troubles arise. Not from toying with the space-time continuum, running into their other selves, or developing God complexes... but from their actions having unintended effects. Spared humiliation, the once-bullied instantly climb the social ladder and look towards belittling those now beneath them.
Oh yes, and all that vortex-jumping back and forward in time is also bringing about the end of the world. Charlie's plans were based on confidential old files hacked from NASA's computers, bringing the kids attention from a variety of stealthy government organizations. The movie attempts to explain the doomsday scenario -- something to do with black holes gobbling up the town, the Northwest US, the galaxy, and so on -- and resolve it with a suspenseful action climax. But, Minutemen suspects the target audience doesn't care about impending apocalypse and thus the threat seems less important than a pressing love triangle.
That triangle involves Virgil and his two best friends pre-high school: Stephanie (Chelsea Staub, Bratz) and Derek (Steven R. McQueen). She's a nice, pretty cheerleader; he's a smooth football jock. Thus, they're a couple, atop the school's social status chart, and distanced from Virgil. All because of that event, on the first day of freshman year, that cast aside their pal for years to come.

Jason Dolley as Virgil Fox

Luke Benward as Charlie Tuttle

Nicholas Braun as Zeke Thompson

Chelsea Staub as Stephanie Jameson
Steven R. McQueen as Derek Beaugard

Kara Crane as Jeanette Pachelewski

Sialnya, Sekali tembak langsung gol! Gawang Ole pun jebol. Mau aborsi? Ngeri. Akhirnya, dijalani saja layaknya suami-istri betulan.

Two roads diverged ni a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black,
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

The last poem Rick memorized was when he was in high school. It's time to memorize another, he decided. He decided that something is wrong when you don't have time to read poetry. Or look at pictures. He started getting such crazy thoughts when he hit 40. When he realized he could not, he should not, work harder than everyone he knew. He finally realized that he will not make it to millionaire. He finally realized that being comfortable will do just fine. His goals are more realistic now: Keep the marriage together and pay off the mortgage. And he has vowed to read more and look more because poetry and pictures are comfortable. Like mashed potatoes. The last poem he memorized was the one about the yellow woods. Frost wrote it when he was 41.
